Position Title: Marketing and Graphics Intern
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Pay: $18 - $22 hourly, commensurate with experience
Job Purpose and Primary Objectives:
Benchmark Space Systems is seeking a part-time Marketing Intern to work between 5-10 hours per week onsite. The ideal candidate will have a strong graphic design background and an eye for photography, along with the organizational skills to support the Business Development team with a variety of general tasks and projects.
This position is based in our Burlington, VT facility, with some remote work possible. The Marketing Intern will be a member of the Business Development Team, reporting directly to the Marketing Manager.

We are focused on providing the most cost-effective propulsion solution for our clients/partner’s Small Satellite mission needs, from simple orbit adjustments to high-agility maneuvers. Our patented and proprietary innovations have been specifically designed to improve safety and capability for spacecraft ranging from 3U through ESPA class. Specifically, our mission is to improve our client’s/partner’s missions through collaborative partnership and creative in-space mobility product solutions that are responsive to the safety, reliability, and cost-of-performance requirements of fundamental or advanced SmallSat and Rideshare missions.

In this environment, we need all employees to solve problems, not be afraid to ask questions and be able to work with and help colleagues in different departments and positions by digging in and working on other tasks as needed/assigned depending on business needs. With that said, there are primary job responsibilities and measurements of success for this position, which are:
- Perform basic graphic and text design updates to sales collateral, presentation materials, marketing materials, etc.
- Create social media and website assets
- Assist in maintenance of company website copy and imagery, perform basic site updates
- Assist in the creation, ordering, maintenance, and distribution of promotional item inventory
- Collaborate in the design of trade show booth visuals, such as slide shows and other graphics
- Update internal company signage for events, notices, etc.
- Support event programming and logistics for trade shows, launch parties, community engagement, etc.
- Gather new visual assets through photography and photo editing
- Organize and maintain graphic and photo asset library with assigned naming conventions
- Assist with team travel research
- Perform basic document proofing and design review
- Perform other projects and tasks based on skillset and need
Required Qualifications:
- Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator proficiency
- Photography and photo editing skills
- Prior professional experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Video editing proficiency
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
While performing duties of this job, the employee is predominately functioning in a sedentary light office position with high frequency of telephone communication, keyboarding, and computer.
