General Summary:

Benchmark Space Systems, a leader in small satellite propulsion systems and in-space mobility services, is seeking a full-time Test Technician to join our growing team. Applicants should have an Associates degree in a relevant field and relevant professional experience. This role is based out of Benchmark’s Burlington, VT facility.

This position is part of a small team responsible for designing and/or executing test plans and procedures for a variety of systems from R&D to full satellite propulsion environmental test campaigns to ensure the verification and validation of all product requirements

Responsibilities:

Construct test setups
Execute test plans and procedures
Record testing data and analyze results to determine whether products meet quality standards
Prepare and publish test reports
Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Associates degree in Engineering Technology or associated field
Experience with software such as Microsoft Excel and other company spreadsheet programs
Typing and record keeping skills essential to maintaining accurate information for managers and supervisors regarding stockroom inventory
Experience operating benchtop electrical test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and multimeters

Preferred Qualifications:

Two or more years of experience in test operations for an aerospace or similar technical products field
Experience conducting environmental tests such as vibration, thermal cycle, and TVAC
Prior experience with DAQs, pressure transducers, thermal couples, strain gauges, or other various sensing elements of a test setup
Python programming
IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001 certifications
Lean or Six Sigma Training
Background in SPC
