General Summary:

Benchmark Space Systems, a leader in small satellite propulsion systems and in-space mobility services, is seeking a full-time Quality Technician to join our growing team. Applicants should have at least three years of relevant professional experience. This role is based out of Benchmark’s Burlington, VT facility.

The Quality Technician is primarily responsible for aiding quality engineers in executing quality functions and ensuring Quality objectives are met.

With that said, there are primary job responsibilities and measurements of success for this position, which are:

  • Perform incoming and outgoing part/assembly inspection
  • Tag and segregate nonconforming material
  • Assist with investigating Root Cause and implementing Corrective Action
  • Maintain calibration system and records
  • Coordinate off-site calibrations and perform in-house calibrations
  • Write quality reports including documenting nonconformances
  • Prepare First Article Inspection (FAI) forms and balloon drawings
  • Conduct FAIs and prepare FAI Reports
  • Respond to internal and external quality audits

Education and/or Experience:

  • 3+yrs in Quality Assurance or a similar role
  • Familiarity with Engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience with FAIs and AS9102
  • Experience with a variety of inspection and test equipment
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Due to federal contract obligations and ITAR restrictions, must be a US citizen
